One year ago, Chechen rebels held hundreds of people, most of them young schoolchildren, hostage at their school in the Russian town of Beslan. The bloody end of the siege left more than 350 people dead, half of them children. This sober HBO retrospective marks the takeover and its tragic end through the use of interviews with those who were there, including many of the young people.
